The mandatory course
Annotation:
The whole course consists of a series of lectures, a total length of 24 hours (4 lectures, once a
week for 4 weeks, 9 to 16 am). The lecturers are recognized experts in the field of cell biology
and pathology of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Medical Faculty of Charles University, Faculty of
Science of Charles University and the Academy of Sciences. Lecture series will provide
graduate students with the latest knowledge of selected topics in the field of cell biology and
pathology. Lectures concern the use of modern techniques in contemporary biomedical
research, and especially in the field of the cell nucleus organization, gene expression and
regulation, cell cycle, cytoskeletal structures, stem cells, cell and viral oncogenes, genetic
diseases and the immune system.
