Education
As part of the First Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Prague, the Institute of Cellular
Biology and Pathology participates in pre- and postgraduate training programmes and supervises Master ("Magister") and Ph.D. students.
The curriculum comprises lectures as well as theoretical and practical courses. These are offered to medical students of the First Faculty of
Medicine and to Ph.D. students in the field of biomedicine.
The courses offered in 2015/2016 are the following:
- Compulsory eligible subject Current Methods
in Cell Biology (code B81289) : practical course for 2nd –
6th year students enrolled in the Master ("Magister") programme of General
Medicine (in English), Summer semester, date of the course 13.2.-17.2.2017.
The course provides a thorough practical background
- Compulsory eligible subject Cell Biology (code B00832) :
lectures for 2nd – 6th year students enrolled in the Master ("Magister")
programme of General Medicine (in Czech), Winter semester
- Compulsory eligible subject
Current Methods in Cell Biology (code B01251) : practical course for 2
nd – 6th year students enrolled in the Master ("Magister")
programme of General Medicine (in Czech), Winter semester
- Course on Advanced Techniques in Electron Microscopy for graduate students, postdocs and researchers with an
interest in electron microscopy techniques. The courses provides a thorough practical background in a variety of
aspects of advanced microscopy including correlative light electron microscopy, cryo-electron microscopy, electron
tomography and 3-D single particle analysis. Date: November 2016
